How to Prepare for South Indian Bank (IT officer)

Section wise exam strategy


Reasoning :  Focus on easiest questions first try to attempt miscellaneous question first such as coding-decoding, distance-direction, blood relation,syllogism. After that choose easy puzzle first i.e floor puzzle.


English:  Improve your vocabulary and focus on grammar. Read  newspapers, magazines, novels on daily basis.


Quantitative: This section is bit calculative and moderate so practice on daily basis. Increase your speed by practicing and learn tricks to solve questions. Attempt easy questions first such as series, simplifications, quadratic equations and D.I. After that solve miscellaneous questions. Avoid negative marking focus on accuracy.

Professional knowledge : Focus on DBMS, COMPUTER NETWORKING, PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES, OPERATING SYSTEM, HTML. Go through your graduation books.

Candidates should have knowledge about native Android, iOS, Windows apps and OS ,Linux, Windows, UNIX/Solaris environment.

Knowledge of  XML (like Spring, Hibernate and Struts & EJBs), JSON, Oracle/MSSQL server, SQL, PL/SQL, T SQL, Unix Shell scripts, Java, JavaScript, JSP, html5, JQUERY, CSS, Python, Windows.Net, JBOSS application server, DW appliances like Teradata, Netezza, Hadoop, Informatica and BI reporting tools like Cognos, Business objects, Tableau, Qlik and Web Services (SOAP) and RESTful APIs.

Essential knowledge to prevent common vulnerabilities, such as Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), SQL injection, etc in the web application.Good DW concepts, design, analytical skills and flash knowledge.

Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Blockchain/Virtual Currency, Social Media Platforms, Analytics, unit testing, regression testing etc.


Give mock test on daily basis to increase your speed and accuracy. Focus on your weak part and do practice as much as possible.
